Roast Level

While coffee roasters are always experimenting with different blends, notes, and beans, our coffee is most concerned with freshness and flavor. Lighter roasts have less oil, more caffeine, and a higher level of acidity. Darker roasts are oilier with less of an acidic flavor and lower levels of caffeine.

Decaf coffee is not the roast level, but rather the process to remove the caffeine.  Decaf coffee beans are regular coffee beans that have most of the caffeine removed through a water process.  While decaf coffee is popular for those who love the taste without the caffeine, decaffeinated coffee is not completely caffeine free, but EU regulation for decaf coffee is less than 0.3% caffeine.
